At our Encore Music we recognise the value of sharing ideas and experiences to enrich our teaching. Encore Music tutors come from a range of backgrounds and have a variety of musical, teaching and coaching qualifications. They share a love of music, a passion for teaching and unwavering commitment to delivering the highest quality piano lessons to every student.

All Encore Music Tutors receive full administrative support (from timetabling to billing), curriculum guidance, exam preparation assistance and ongoing coaching and problem solving. One-to-one mentoring takes the form of student reviews and planning our piano lessons. Director, Liz Giannopoulos helps to bring alternative, tried and tested, creative solutions to musical challenges. Tutor workshops throughout the year, allow us to work as a team, exploring innovative methods and teaching strategies, discovering new music and continually develop our professional skills.

All tutors hold current public liability insurance certificates, have up to date DBS checks and are members of a professional body (such as Musician's Union, Incorporated Society of Musicians or European Piano Teachers' Association).

Liz Giannopoulos MEd, BA (Hons), CT ABRSM, DipABRSM, LTCL

Liz Giannopoulos is the founder and director of Encore Music Tuition Ltd. She is a highly qualified music tutor with a wealth of experience and a passion for both teaching and learning.

Liz is committed to developing musical skills, enabling pupils to become independent musicians. She tailors piano lessons to the preferred learning styles of each student, responding to diversity with adaptability. Liz is creative, inspirational, self motivated and reliable. Her students have a 100% pass rate history, ABRSM, Prep Test to Grade 8.


In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Liz also provides ongoing coaching and mentoring for the Associate Tutors including regular piano lesson observations, curriculum and repertoire advice, exam planning and creative problem solving.


Liesbeth Allart BMus, PGDipRNCM, MMus

Liesbeth is a highly motivated and conscientious teacher. 


A professional oboist, her performing work ranges from orchestra to chamber music to theatre, and continues to inspire her teaching of both the oboe and the piano.


Liesbeth advocates a holistic approach to piano lessons, in which the rapport between teacher and student is key in providing a learning environment based on trust, curiosity and individual strengths and needs. 


Rob Foster Cert PTC, CME, DipLCM

Rob has an extensive background of performing on the piano and guitar across numerous genres. Rob draws on this experience to ensure that learning the piano is a rounded experience with musicianship and musicality at the heart.


Rob’s goal is to teach in a way that instills a love of music and performing that his students will keep for life.  Every pianist is different, therefore Rob teaches in an adaptable way as to bring out the enthusiasm and motivation for each individual, enabling them to find and express their own unique talents on the piano.


Tania Notte BA, MA, Diploma in Piano

Tania grew up in Italy and studied piano at the Conservatorio of Ferrara ''Girolamo Frescobaldi'' where she graduated in 2011 under the guidance of Fabrizio Lanzoni. She also studied Culture and Tradition of Middle Ages and Renaissance at the University of Ferrara. 


Besides studying and performing, since 2008, Tania has collaborated with several music institutions working as a teacher and as an accompanist. She is a passionate and dedicated teacher who considers creativity and emotion to be essential components in music education.


Tania is also available for piano lessons conducted in Italian.


Krystal Tunnicliffe MPerf BMus LMusA AMusA

Born in Melbourne, Krystal Tunnicliffe works in both the Senior and Junior departments of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and is a Britten-Pears Young Artist and Oxford Lieder Young Artist. She has performed across the UK as well as in Australia, France, Austria and Belgium, and is looking forward to engagements in Germany, Spain and The Netherlands in the coming year. She holds a Bachelor degree from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, and a Masters degree and Junior Fellowship from the Guildhall School.

Krystal has taught both the piano and early childhood music for the last decade, with pupils ranging from three years of age right through to adulthood. She is an advocate of joyful music making, and encourages a love for learning and performing music, backed by a strong foundation in technical skill and theoretical knowledge.

Katie Wood BA (Hons) Music,  MA Music Education

Katie has a first-class Bachelor's Degree in Music and a Master's Degree with distinction in Music Education. She is a professional woodwind player specialising in musical theatre but also enjoys playing in jazz and funk bands. 


Katie is an enthusiastic and extremely passionate piano teacher. She works hard to inspire her pupils and strives to teach them to see music as a wonderful way to relax, have fun and to develop emotionally and socially, giving them a skill and interest they can enjoy all their lives.


Raymond Yiu BMus MMus

Born in Hong Kong, Raymond moved to Scotland and attended the Aberdeen City Music School before studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London as a recipient of several scholarships and awards. Since then, he has obtained his Masters and Bachelor of Music (Honours) with First Class. He has given numerous recitals and has performed as a concerto soloist with orchestras in Scotland. 


As a teacher, Raymond is extremely dedicated and takes great responsibility in giving his students a solid foundation, so that they can grow to be confident and independent. He also likes to incorporate improvisation, singing and playing by ear in his teaching, in order to help his students become rounded musicians.
