Piano Lessons, w/c 16 March 2020

Dear parents, students and tutors Please read the following important information which outlines our planned response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Our current policy From Monday 16 March, to support efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19, we will provide online lessons to students where any member of the household is self-isolating. Similarly, Encore Music tutors will provide online lessons if any member of their own household is required to self-isolate, assuming they are well enough to do so.  We are committed to maintaining continuity of tuition for our students for as long as possible whilst prioritising the health and well-being of the wider community. Please follow latest advice. What should you do? Please inform me and your tutor immediately if any member of your household is self-isolating. Please DO NOT put your tutor at risk by inviting them into your home or visiting their studio. Keep reading your emails! This is a rapidly changing situation and we are responding on a day to day basis. What are we doing? I am developing a short user guide outlining how to set up and get the most out of online piano lessons and will distribute as needed.  We are continuing to monitor the developing situation and following advice from the authorities. We are taking all reasonable to ensure all lessons can continue - either face-to-face or online - until the end of term (3 April 2020).  What about the exams? We have a large number of candidates expecting to take exams on 27 March 2020 and we know you are concerned about whether or not they will go ahead as planned. I have been in contact with ABRSM and we currently expect the exams to go ahead. I will let you know immediately if the situation changes. In the meantime, we encourage all exam candidates to continue their exam preparation as normal. Thank you for your support and co-operation during these worrying times. Best wishes Liz
