Piano Lesson Online from 17 March 2020

Updated: Mar 30, 2020

Dear parents, students and tutors Whilst I thought this email might be sent at some point in the future, I didn't imagine it would come within 13 hours of my last communication. Online Lessons In response to the Prime Minister's statement this evening we have decided to move all piano lessons online with immediate effect. This is not a decision we have taken lightly but we are all in agreement that we should stop unnecessary travel and non-essential contact with others. We remain committed to maintaining continuity of tuition for our students during this difficult time whilst prioritising the health and well-being of the wider community. In times of uncertainty, familiarity and routine can provide comfort for children and the online lessons we have already delivered have been well received and productive. Please see below a short user guide outlining how to set up online piano lessons. As far as possible Home Visit and Badminton Road lessons will run in line with the existing timetable. Your tutor will contact you directly if this needs to change in anyway. In School lessons (Alderbrook and Honeywell) will need careful consideration. I will be in touch with you individually to make arrangements. ABRSM exams suspended We are sorry to let you know that ABRSM have decided to suspend all ABRSM exams until further notice. We do not have any further information at this time but we will work closely with ABRSM to negotiate an alternative date when the situation is clearer. Thank you for your support and co-operation during these worrying times. Best wishes Liz
