Performing Opportunities

Student Recitals

Encore Music hosts informal Student Recitals twice each year to provide opportunities for students to perform for a wider audience.

Performing in the concerts is not compulsory but participation is strongly encourage as it motivates goal-oriented practice, gives children the opportunity to demonstrate their talents to their peers and parents and exposes them to the “pressures” of performing in a friendly environment.

Encore Music hosts graded piano exams with The Associate Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).

Exams are not compulsory, but can provide invaluable performing experience for young players and tangible targets engendering a sense of achievement. All students are offered a mock exam (on the exam piano) before the formal exam.

Our students have an outstanding success rate in ABRSM exams.

Battersea Piano Festival

Liz Giannopoulos founded Battersea Piano Festival in 2015.

This annual celebration of local piano talent is open to all amateur pianists, regardless of age and experience. The classes are carefully chosen to ensure a fair platform for all participants. Pianists have the opportunity to play a grand piano, in a semi-formal environment, and hear the performances of their peers.
